Intel 82540EM Gigabit Ethernet Controller Network Adapter Base Driver 7.6.9 for Linux.

This archive contains the Linux* Base Driver for the Intel® PRO/1000 Family of Adapters. This driver is intended for 2.4.18 and 2.6.x kernels.

This driver includes support for Itanium® 2-based and Intel® EM64T systems.

For the Linux base driver for 2.2 to 2.4.18 kernels use [e1000-4.3.15.tar.gz].

This release includes two Linux* Base Drivers for the Intel® Network Connection. These drivers are named e1000 and igb. The igb driver must be installed to support any 82575-based network connections. All other gigabit network connections require the e1000 driver (this driver.)
