Intel 82544EI Gigabit Ethernet Controller Base driver 9.2.6 Unix.

Software Release 10.3 Base driver for OpenUNIX* 8 and UnixWare* 7.x using ddi8 drivers for most Intel® PRO Gigabit Adapters and 8254x controllers.

To install please use the following procedure:

1. Transfer the pkg file into filesystem format by typing the following command:
¡®pkgtrans (full path to pkg file) (full path of directory to put package into)¡¯
(i.e. ¡®pkgtrans /tmp/e1008g.pkg /tmp¡¯)

2. Edit the request script: ¡®vi /tmp/e1008g/install/request¡¯

3. Remove the ¡®d¡¯ revision from the definition for REQED_PTFs_710.
(i.e. REQED_PTFs_710=¡±ptf7401:¡± or REQED_PTFs_710=¡±¡±)

4. Remove the last line of the /tmp/e1008g/pkgmap file. This is the entry for the request file.

5. Install this edited package: ¡®pkgadd -d /tmp e1008g¡¯

Automatic detection and adjustment to the switch interface (TBI vs. GMII interfaces will be transparent to the user.)

ddi 7 driver available separately for early gigabit adapters.

Advanced Networking Services (ANS) driver available separately (requires this base driver).
