This file provides the necessary driver files for the Intel® Video Capture Card, which is included with the PCI version of Intel® Create & Share™ Camera Pack. There has only been one version of the drivers for this device. The version of these files is the same version as those that are included on the installation CD-ROM, therefore, if you have your Camera Pack CD-ROM, you do not need to download this file.
Note: The Intel® Video Capture Card has been observed to work with Windows* 98 Second Edition. Since the Intel Video Capture Card was bundled with software designed to with Windows* 98 original edition, Windows 98 Second Edition will not be a supported environment. Therefore, if it does not work, please revert back to Windows 98 original version to use the Intel Video Capture Card.
How to Use this File
- Download the file to a temporary directory on your local hard drive.
- In Windows Explorer*, browse to the directory where you saved the file and double-click on it.
- Click Unzip to extract the files. By default, the directory C:\TEMP\IVCC will be created and the driver files will be extracted into it.
- When the Windows* hardware wizard runs, browse to the C:\TEMP\IVCC directory to install these drivers.
Note: If you previously attempted to install the capture card, you may find it listed in Device Manager in the Other category as "PCI Multimedia Device". Select "PCI Multimedia Device", click Remove, then Refresh. The Windows* hardware wizard should redetect the card and allow you to browse to the location of the drivers. (If the hardware wizard does not start, then shut down Windows, turn off your computer, then turn it back on. Now the hardware wizard should begin.)
