For all BIOS versions prior to WB91x10J.86A.1037, you must first update to BIOS version WB91x10J.86A.1037. Once you have updated the system to WB91x10J.86A.1037, then you may complete any other BIOS updates.
Use the DOS based Iflash utility to update your BIOS on all operating systems. Save the file to a temporary directory and double-click the *.EXE to extract necessary files, then double-click the RUN.BAT file. Boot the target PC with the floppy disk in the floppy drive to automatically launch the BIOS update process.
CAUTION: DO NOT POWER DOWN YOUR SYSTEM before the update is complete. This update will take up to 3 minutes. There will be no video and you will hear a series of beeps during the update. Do NOT interrupt the BIOS update process; doing so could render your system NON-functional!
NOTE: Before updating the BIOS on the Intel® Desktop Board, manually record all BIOS settings that have been changed (from default) so they can be restored after completing the BIOS update.
